How about that Junot Diaz?

Have you read "Homecoming, with Turtle" yet? If so, let me know what you think.

Love it?
Like it?
Hate it?
How does it work as a story? Does it remind you of anything else you've read? What point does it make?

Please make a comment. Since the story's only three pages long, and since it's the first week of school, I'm figuring you'll all read it, just to make a good impression. If you want to read more Junot Diaz stories, click on this link and knock yourself out.

PS - Cheers to Elias for being the first to comment on our blog!

I liked the short story because he writes in such a way as if a regular teenager would write a short story(well almost; when not texting). I can say that I have something in common with him because I am also Dominican and hardly anyone thinks it.

I actually really enjoyed reading it. The way he writes and descibes his experiences sounds like something anybody can relate to.

Oooooooooh boy, YES, this is the right blog, I have succeeded at finding it. I loved this short story, although it was about his bad experience. I did however find it comic. I mean come on... getting beat up by a turtle shell? Doesn't get any better than that.

I absolutely loved the short story "Homecoming, With Turtle" by Junot Diaz. His unorthodox writing techniques allows his audience picture perfect visuals as they read. Looking forward to read more of his work.
